It was so fun to see Kate in her giraffe costume! :) It was especially funny when I nursed her, b/c her face was mostly hidden, so I really felt like I was nursing a little baby animal! :) Since the first week, I actually have felt much like a mother cat, nursing her kittens! Having her in this costume just confirmed that! She actually loved the costume. She was cozy and warm all day.
Notice the tail :)
It's a tough job to be a newborn.
I took Kate on her first walk a couple of weeks ago. How sweet
My mom with Kate. How great to have her in our home at last! She was at the hospital for Kate's big day but, was sick for the following 3 weeks. I really missed having her with us. I haven't mentioned it, but some of you probably already know; she was diagnosed with breast cancer this past June; then had it removed at the end of July. The surgery went really well and they believe they removed all of it. She completed her 6th and final week of radiation a few days after Kate was born. The last few sessions were extra powerful, so they made her feel yucky. That's why she wasn't able to see us for 3 weeks. She's feeling much better now. Hip hip hooray! We are SOOOO eternally grateful for them finding it in a routine mammogram. And that it was so small. The Dr.s were excellent. Before her surgery, she received a blessing and I know that it was because of Heavenly Father, that this all went so well. He can do all things and we know that His hand was guiding every step of this. We are also very grateful for everyone's prayers and fasting. It really blessed all of us. I did not have the best attitude while she was going through these things. I tried to, but I just didn't. But now that it's over (hopefully it's all in the past now) I feel very grateful that it was able to be taken care of so quickly and that she is doing so well now. But I also know that no matter the outcome of the trials we all face, Heavenly Father LOVES us and listens to each one of our prayers. We are not left alone.

Abbers, just got caught up on the recent happenings in the blog. I am not the best blogger anymore so I'm a little behind on things! CONGRATS again on your little Kate, she is of course beautiful!! Also, I hope your mom is doing well - what a blessing they found it in the early stages.
What a cuddly little giraffe! I like Kate's little "giraffe" legs. I am going to be in Salt Lake Friday night through Sunday afternoon. I am not sure what my car access will be, probably not great. Do you think you will be at your parents in salt Lake Saturday or Sunday? I might be able to con somebody into dropping me off to say hello...what do you think?
Abbs- What a cute little girl! Congratulations. I ran into Nicole at Disneyland and she told me about your little Kate. How exciting!
I have to say that tail is the cutest thing! How fun that our girls are going to go through each stage together! We had a great time with you guys tonight.
Congrats Abby, I love little girls. They look cute in everything and are a lot of fun to dress up!!
